This is so disheartening to read. People should not be risking death because they are unable to hear commands given by police. It seems to me that police should be (if they aren't already) trained on how to effectively communicate with people who are hearing impaired (as well as folks with other impairments which make communication more challenging). My prayers go out to this man's family and for the safety of the deaf community at large.
