There are two ways to look at this: Israel was never and will never be a 'country', even they themselves call it a 'state'for many reasons not starting with the fact it doesn't have recognized borders and not ending with its survival depends solely on the US taxpayers, making it as many call it the (51 US State).

Or you can look at it as who the US politicians work for, in reality? Who gets to decide who will be in power and what policies they should carry on and what would be the consequences if they ever think of deviating from that, JFK had a clue.
