RE: Why I Remain Hopeful When Things Look Grim

in #politics6 years ago

Okay, I now understand your comment on my post...a bit better.

Maybe I am wrong, but the way I see it is that not all is equal. For instance, Trump and other Right Wing parties, cannot do all they wish for, as they are not dictatorships and have to contend with powerful forces that have gathered to destroy them. On the other hand, with Obama having paved the way, if Hillary had won, she would have done all that is needed to destroy the USA existing as a country, without having to fear the Right Wing members.

It is as if something is pulling us back from the cliff edge; we are still far too close, but once the world is evenly matched, the 'good' as strong as the 'evil' then I'll take a deep breath and not mind passing on, for I can do so, with the hope that the healing you speak of will take place.

Brasil does not exist in a vacuum. Whatever his wishes, he will have to take into consideration how the world will react to him destroying the forests...but what he is likely to do is destroy it in small bits and pieces, so that it is not noticed. What we need is for us to make certain it is noticed.

Sort:

There is always more evil then there is good. As the evil will fool the good in thinking they are not evil. And now evil has grown to a global scale. It's no longer a little dictator who messes up a country. It's now becoming a team of yes-men dictators messing up a continent. They all have their price to say yes. And with evil having 99% of all the wealth under their control they just buy yes-men for peanuts.

Why does trump want a wall?
Maybe he is in on the secret about destabilizing South America?

Venezuela are Honduras that's already destabilized.

To me it looks like we need a few very wealthy people who are actually NOT evil. Do these even exist? I hope they do, but I don't really see it.
IF they exists, they probably also just keep sitting on their wealth.
It takes courage for them to do the right thing as well. And as they are surrounded buy evil with more wealth it's probably not a real option for them to even consider courage? How does that even work when you are a billionaire?
I'm not very positive, as I don't trust any front running politicians. As everyone has a price they all can be corrupted, yet we really need a way out of this. And for that we still need politicians. It's a huge catch22.

Ok time to think of options
How to remove 50% of all politicians?
Investigate corruption, and remove the most corrupt ones first.
But before that, make a law that doesn't allow known corrupt officials to be in ANY politic or corporate position ever again.

Then clean up the mess.

To me it looks like we need a few very wealthy people who are actually NOT evil. Do these even exist?

That is the disadvantage of being cynical - even when the few good wealthy people want to help, you'll reject them as being fake, as being the enemy.

I prefer to believe in people.

As for good wealthy people - I used to be part of that world and yes, there are many. Many more than you can imagine.

What is almost impossible to find are good Corporate people. To get where they are corrupts them.
