RE: American aristocracy is diametrically opposed to accountability

in #politics6 years ago (edited)

This goes even further, for example in Benjamin Franklin's essay on the Nature and Necessity of Paper Currency he points out how and why the rich would oppose his proposal. Then there's numerous studies on average people pretending to be higher class which indicate that a simple exercise as that influences people who are otherwise morally just to avoid accountability, or outright lie and pass blame on while regarding themselves as much more moral than that in an obvious denial. Another study, the only of it's kind which admitably needs to be followed up with more rigorous ones, indicates that the mere presence of money in probably any frame of reference corrupts the person.

The point about privilege is dead center, it's the lawful definition of privilege actually.

@baah, thank you for your thoughts on influence and privilege. I will definitely check out the article on dirty money. The funny thing is, I don't think it's the money, I think it's the endorphins, the "high" that people are hooked on.

Write on.

It's always our perception and the hormone soup we create based on that lol.
