Shoes thrown on Public figures Presidents and Prime ministers

shoes throwing practice is dates back to ansient times in human history. It is a gesture of showing hate to the person that gets hit by the shoes. It is not a good practice and a person who does this act shows how low his values are that he can do such an act, because angry should never be taken out with violence. Recently the shoes are flying on alot of Pakistani politicians. Well almost on every big political leader in Pakistan is under shoes attack recently.

lets look back and see how many big leaders have got this gift of shoes from general public and what are the reasons that they have been blessed with such a inhuman gift.

2008:

-Arbab Gulam Rahim formar Chief minister of Karachi, Pakistan. His own party member threw shoes on him after his oath taking ceremony. looks like he didn't give the guy his promised office.

  • Ex-President George W Bush well this is the most famous one i think probably everyone in the world knows about this incident. when Bush came to a press conference in IRAQ after the war a reporter from the conference threw a shoes at president Bush.

-Same year an anti-war group Code Pink pelted shoes at an effigy of then-U.S. President George W. Bush outside the White House. Protesters presented their shoes at U.S. embassies around the world to show their support for al-Zaidi.

2009

  • Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao was in London in a university giving a speech and someone from the audience shouted shame on you and threw shoes at the premier but the shoes landed few feet away.

  • Israeli Ambassador to Sweden Benny Dagan was hit by a protester's shoe while speaking about the 2009 Gaza War. The shoe throwers reportedly chanted Murderer!

  • Iranian President Ahmadinejad's motorcade came under shoes attack when his convey hit an elderly man on the way and did not stop.

  • Indian National congress members naveen jindal and Lal krishna advani came under shoes attack in lok sabha by a schoolteacher and political party worker respectively.

  • India's Home Minister P. Chidambaram was shoed by a journalist Jarnail Singh during a press conference.

  • Former Australian Prime Minister John Howard was delivering a speech about leadership in the new century at Cambridge University when an Australian student called him a racist before taking off his boot and throwing it in his direction.

2010

-During a public meeting, a man threw a shoe at Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir in the Friendship Hall in Khartoum, which missed.

  • Then president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari was attacked by a 50 year old Pakistani men in UK by throwing his shoe on the president.

  • Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair had an egg and shoes thrown at him at a signing for his book, A Journey, outside Eason's in Dublin.

  • A shoe was thrown at Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou while he was inaugurating the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair

  • Two shoes were thrown at John Howard, the former Prime Minister of Australia, by Peter Gray, live on the ABC Television program Q&A while Howard was defending his decision to commit Australian troops to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

2011

-A man threw shoe at former President of Pakistan Rtd. General Pervaz musharaf during a Pakistani origin gathering in London.

2012

  • A shoe was thrown at Congress General Secretary and Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi during an election rally in Dehradun, India.

  • In Alexandria, Egypt, during an official visit to Egypt, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's motorcade was pelted with shoes and tomatoes by protesters chanting "Monica, Monica", a reference to the Monica Lewinsky scandal involving her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

2013

  • A lawyer threw shoes at Former President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharaf while he was leaving the high court in Karachi, Pakistan.

  • This year a lot of shoes were thrown at Chinese premier at the time during his visit to Taiwan on different occasions.

2014

  • Hillary clinton was attacked by a female protester during a plastic recycling conference in LA, but the shoe landed a few feet away from hillary and she joked it off.

2015

The safest year for most of the politicians. hahaha

2016

And there we go again the shoe gang is back this year.

  • A man hit the Federal minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid with a shoes, protesting the execution of Ghazi Mumtaz Hussain Qadri Shaheed.

2017

  • Chief minister of punjab, India Parkash singh badal was addressing a the people of his constituency while someone threw a shoe at him.

2018

  • San Diegans hurled chanclas at Donald Trump during State of the Union speech.

  • Bilal Haris hurled a shoe at Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal during a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers convention in Narowal.

  • Shoe was hurled at Nawaz Sharif, former Prime Minister of Pakistan, when he was about to address a religious gathering at Jamia Naeemia Lahore.

  • A shoe was thrown at Imran khan rally by some oppsition party worker. but the shoe didn't hit Imran khan but hit aleem khan instead who was standing next to Imran Khan.

And the list will continue because the year didn't end and the world also didn't end. The shoes gang comes out every year any where any time.
