Corbyn Claims Labour party are the mainstream now
In Brighton, East Sussex, UK, Leader of the Labour party Jeremy Corbyn gave a 75 minute speech in which he outlined his vision for the future of the party.
Corbyn, who had recently been attacked by his own MP's came across like it was a victory speech claiming his party was the government in-waiting.
In his speech he attacked the Conservatives parties handling of Brexit negotiations saying it was only the Labour Party that could unite EU leave and remain voters. He also claimed Conservatives are "more interested in posturing for personal advantage than in getting the best deal for Britain". Whilst on the other hand admitting Labour would push for "unimpeded access to the single market" and fight to protect jobs and wages, while rejecting immigration targets,.
Basically, Corbyn in this speech, admitted that he would undermine the democratic will of the people by opening the doors to mass immigration in exchange to full access to the market. How on Earth does he intend to unite people by doing this?
He also said:
He condemned the 'intolerable' abuse of his fellow MP Dianne Abbott. Who, if you remember, gave a terrible interview to radio station LBC in which she claimed that her party would add 10,000 police officers to Britain's struggling law enforcement at a cost of £300,000. Which you can find below:
He also said that his party would undo the damage done by austerity with his magic cheque book. Now considering the point above would you trust Labour with such a poor grasp on basic maths? Not to mention that Britain like many countries is struggling under the weight of debt and cannot afford to spend as they have done previously.
It is clear the Labour party has it's problems still but the speech appeared to go do well with his supporters. Will the party be able to shake of allegations of anit-semitism and infighting? either way it is clear the decision by Theresa May earlier this Year to call a snap election was a mistake and Labour capitalised on the opportunity by appealing to younger voters.
My take is that it depends on economic conditions. We have been expecting an economic collapse for some time which may be used as a scapegoat to blame the Conservatives. This could be the spin that will be used by politicians when in reality the impact of decisions by political parties is not as prominent as they make out in a Global economy. Lets face it when the US sneezes everyone gets a cold and the underlying problems from 2008 economic crisis was never addressed and the toxic debt was simply repackaged and the printing presses was cranked up to the max. If Labour can capture young voters in the general election then it could be a close race and the economic conditions may be provide the perfect spin story.

This dude is a joke. Not sure what the established politicians are thinking now, maybe they just are living on former glory. Maybe they really think people are going to buy it if they say it.
Yeah true, if you look at what he wants to spend money on then yes he is deluded. He also supports socialism - I wonder if venezualans do?
Yeah I can't imagine a Venezuelan has any faith left in Socialism. How else do you explain the epic financial failure they have become?
