Joy has been given a charge sheet for kidnapping and murder

Police filed a charge sheet against five people of Sheikh Hasina's son and information and technology adviser Sajib Wazed Joy in connection with the abduction and conspiracy to try to kill him.

Senior Assistant Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police Hasan Arafat submitted the charge sheet to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's court on Tuesday, said SI Jalal Uddin, District Registrar General of the court. The date for the date of accepting the signature of the charge sheet on March 6 is fixed.

The five accused - former editor of Daily Jaijaidin, Shafiq Rehman, acting editor Mahmudur Rahman, Vice President of Jatiya Samaj Sangskritik Sangstha (Jasas) Mohammad Ullah Mamun, his son Rizvi Ahamed alias Caesar and US expatriate Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan.

Jalal Uddin said, Shafiq Rehman and Mahmudur Rahman have been charged as the directors of conspiracy to try to kidnap Sajib Wazed Joy. The accused accused of cooperating with the conspiracy as a consultant was brought against Mohammad Ulama Mamun.

According to the statement, Jasas vice-president US expatriate Mohammad Ullah Mamun and high-level BNP leaders from outside the country and outside the country are plotting to kidnap and kill Joy. Reviewing the available information, it is suspected that any country in the world, including the United States, UK, Bangladesh, is engaged in conspiracy of any kind of loss including the life of BNP senior leader Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy. To implement this conspiracy, BNP's high command has funded the country and abroad.

It is to be noted that on 4 August 2015, DB Inspector Fazlur Rahman made a general diary (GD) in the Paltan Police Station, which was later turned into a case.
