data mining, everybody's doin' it!

now that you know that data mining from facebook was used by both democrats and republicans, in various forms for the same nefarious goals (none of which had any effect in the end, other than perhaps keeping people relatively informed that an election was about to happen) maybe rather than whining about how facebook has let you down, you can realize it is the duopoly of spineless and useless (and often criminal) republicans and democrats that is doing this to us year after year, all the while failing collectively on education, healthcare, gun control...you name it. yes, getting off facebook is a clever response to having your feelings hurt by them. dropping the hot, vulgar stone that is your political party's ball and chain will serve you, and the world, far better in the long run. go independent, and rather than reflexively hating on third party candidates, learn some truths about them. they are more intelligent, have better platforms, and are better people in general than anything, and i mean absolutely anything, being offered by the two party system. wanting a superhero for a politician is exactly the fantasy goal it sounds like. human beings can be good, effective, and humane all at once. the silliest thing about the entirety of our current political climate is the credence being given to advertising as if it some new form of mind control. yes, advertising may get one to choose a particular car over a different one, if one is in the market for a car. it isn't going to put someone in the market for the car to begin with, and nobody sees a car commercial and runs down to the dealership immediately any more than they hear a negative thing about clinton and suddenly change their political affiliation and history of voting and go for trump or a third party. it is naive. it is also insulting to those who made good decisions with their vote, and directed them towards people who were openly against war, rather than voting to kill children, which is what any vote for clinton or trump amounted to. peace is simple. lying to oneself over and over and over is not.
