What would be different if Hillary won?

I don't think things would be much better right now if Trump had lost. It kind of dawned on me last spring when it became clear Trump was actually serious and wasn't going to drop out, and in bizarro world actually became the candidate, and when it was clear they weren't going to allow Bernie to beat out HRC (he likely did), that no matter who was going to win, that it was going to be brutal either way. I felt whoever won was going to instantly become the most divisive president in history. That half the country would hate who won and immediately begin a campaign to politically destroy that person. I worried about protests regardless of who won. I mean, what would really be different right now? Wouldn't we be in a new Cold War with Russia either way? Wouldn't we have sanctioned Russia either way? Wouldn't the alt right still have had their events? And I'm skeptical of the idea that racist white supremacists were "emboldened" by Trump. Heard that phrase a lot. What would draw out more angry, motivated, white supremacists? Think they would have found losing to Hillary motivating? Think they would have found their white identity at risk by those in power? Think some other groups wouldn't be protesting them, and fringes of those groups doing so rather violently? Think there wouldn't be concern over the objectiveness of news, or that they wouldn't be creating or overblowing scandals in the name of profit? Think censorship of speech and the power of tech giants wouldn't be an issue? Think there wouldn't be people with extremist ideologies plowing their vehicles into groups of people they hate? I mean.... ever think we were given both candidates to be given the illusion of choice, but really, things have kind of been planned out either way?
