It's okay, I will protect your rights

It's okay, I will protect your rights. Even if you fight me, kicking and screaming, the whole way.
I have a belief that we should have freedom to chose for ourselves and not delegate our choices to the government.
I believe we should be free to decide for ourselves whether we want to own a firearm, what kind of car you should drive, who can have an abortion and when. Whenever the government removes choice and replaces it with the "politically correct" choice we as a society lose our freedom. In the words of Benjamin Franklin "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." I realize he was talking about taxes at the time but feel it applies to general freedoms also. Either way I always try to vote for freedom over perceived security.
