Recently I learned that China is implementing a new system called a social credit system that gives you points on not just your credit score, but as your worth as a person. Everything you do and every aspect of your life will ultimately impact whether you are trustworthy or not depends on the consensus of the people in power. People say but that's only in China, it can't happen here in the West. Actually they are so wrong. Because here's why. A few years ago People are complaining on China's restrictions of the use of the internet, and now the West is taking pages of China's playbook in attempting to do just that. The idea that our entire worth will be decided by this system in every aspect of our lives can't be any more troubling.

All the major tech giants like Google and Facebook have no problem selling your data to the highest bidder and now will want to control every aspect of their lives. While it seems that the West is slowly but surely sinking into totalitarianism, I can't help but imagine the nightmarish possibility that this new system could affect every one of us. A few youtubers have already addressed the issue and this is just me weighing in on it as well.

I hate to sound black-pilled here, but I still believe we can combat this with decentralized platforms and decentralized finances. However, if we are not aware of this fact and the establishment tries to pass this underneath our noses, we can kiss any sense of freedoms we may have had left. i would say that maybe our own freedoms have already died and is constantly being restricted by these pundits, politicians and mainstream outlets because the last thing they want is to lose any grip on their power. I have no doubt that the Marxists would love to implement such a system for their perverse sense of utopic ideals.

However I still think there is hope and a chance to combat this. At this point right now we can only either continue to decentralize ourselves and encrypt our devices to the best of our abilities to make sure that it we don't constantly get screwed over by this system. Of course I have no doubt that there will be people who will try and rebel against this and fight to the bitter end. But complaining and sperging out about purity tests, will not solve the problems we will soon face if this idea even sets one foot on the Western World. Whether we like it or not regardless of our ideology, we are all in the same sinking ship if we don't get our shit together. What this new form of totalitarianism will also bring out is the dawn of rebels and outlaws. Not in the negative connotation or the rebels you see in films, but the kind of people who refuse to bow down to these monsters who think they have the right to pass these arbitrary systems for their own benefits.

I am not advocating for anarchy and lawlessness, what I am advocating for is for people to fight for their own rights to not be slaves to such a system. how they choose to fight rests entirely on them. I am not speaking from any ideological standpoint, but as simply as someone who wants to warn others on the dangers of the abuse of this technology in the people who do not have our best interests. This is going to take time, and we need to make sure we are able to still have a choice in our own affairs.
