Pass the Popcorn, American Politics is the Best Show on TV!

If you ignore the serious implications and potential dire consequences, the developments in American politics over the last few years are actually quite entertaining. I’d argue that it’s better than anything else Hollywood or the streaming networks have produced in recent memory.

Obviously, there’s a wealth of drama, division and in-fighting between and within the parties that overpowers any popular soap opera (move over Yellowstone). There’s plenty of comedy, although often unintended, as our leaders spout the most ludicrous statements (who needs SNL anymore when the politicians are spoofing themselves?). There’s also suspense and even action, from crime waves to global pandemics to capitol insurrections (what blockbuster can top that?). And perhaps best of all, a fantastic ensemble cast who lie to us on a daily basis (isn’t that what acting is all about?).

So tune in and pass the popcorn because the next season of American politics is on! You never know, it might even end with a big fireworks show…
