I agree 100%! Thank you for expressing your opinion as someone who is actually teaching in schools and would be directly effected by this ridiculous idea of arming our school teachers. For the record, I am not anti-gun and I respect each American citizen's constitutional right to bear arms. However, like you said,

And it is the mental health argument that needs our focus. NO ONE in their right mind would go and shoot up a school. No one. That's pretty obvious, but the background information on these shooters have also proven the same point. Most if not all of these mass shooters do, in fact, have diagnosed mental health issues. Many are not getting the help they need and THIS is where we can change things.
We need to destigmatize mental health and start treating mental illness with the respect, care, compassion it deserves. People need help before they get so far lost that they commit horrific acts the ones we keep seeing in this country. It's is just heartbreaking. Thank you again for posting! ❤ Upvoted & Followed ❤
