The Palestinian Liberation Organization's (PLO) central council, which is the second largest body of Palestinian decision-making, has withdrawn the recognition of Israel as a state and threatened to exit the 1993 Oslo treaty.

If Israel does not recognize Palestine in accordance with the boundaries of the 1967 Arab-Israel war, East Jerusalem will be the capital, but the decision will come out of the Oslo agreement. This is suggested at a meeting of the PLO Central Council on Ramallah in West Bank on Monday.

There is a secret meeting in Oslo for a direct deal between Palestine and Israel. According to the sources, in the White House in September 1993, Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Isaac Robin signed an agreement with the then US President Bill Clinton. Through this, the PLO and Israel recognize each other.

The two-day meeting of the PLO Central Council began on Sunday in Ramalla. After the meeting on Monday, the Central Council said that the PLO Executive Committee has been instructed to suspend the recognition of Israel as a state. The statement also said that the Oslo agreement signed with Israel in the 90's was "no other effect".

The situation in the region has become disturbed since December 6, when US President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Israeli troops continue to attack Hamas, Palestinian protesters and the Libyan leader Many casualties are happening in Gaza and the West Bank.

Palestinians want the eastern part of Jerusalem as the future capital of the sovereign state. Criticizing Trump's decision, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Sunday that the trump attempt to establish peace in the Middle East was, in fact, the "best slap of the century".

The Central Council has said that the decision to stop all types of security cooperation with Israel will be renewed.
