Thank you @steemitboard. Pompeii is a fascinating place due to its history. The plaster casts from there have found that even animals like dogs were left behind when Vesuvius erupted. I do not know if cats were found, but I am sure cats roamed about there too. @catfacts might know the answer, especially because there were many in that region.

Approximately 40,000 people are bitten by cats in the U.S. annually.

That number must be far less than those of dogs.
