Lutke (The Puppets)

The band from Belgrade named Lutke (The Puppets) was founded by Nenad Jovanovic (guitar, vocal) as a high school student in the second half of the 1980s, more precisely in 1987. They based their sound on the British pop, and soon recorded some demo tracks. However, the following year there was a break in the work due to going to the army, so the band with trials and gigs continued only since 1989. Some personal changes followed them in the following period, when Dejan Stanišić came to the place of the bass player Zlatko Štević, and until the releasing of the first album, the drummer also replaced Zoran Vladimirovski in Vlado Nojković.

The Puppets are published Cassette debuts titled "Modern World" in 1995. The material contained 10 authors' songs and one processing (The Pretenders 2000 Miles) and quickly won the audience's favor and criticism. The following edition of "Polyester" is published in the changed composition. Namely, the band comes Maja Mladenović (organ) and Đura Kojić (guitar, violin) that fills the vacant guitar player instead of Dejan Radovanović. The first spot was made for the song "Sjaj", and the album was published in B92 as a tape and CD.

After the discontinuation of the band's work, Nenad Jovanovic formed the band Foto, in which he published the album "Kosmos Srbija" in 2002.

The puppets were restored after the band's 20th anniversary, and in 2007 the album "Fontanela" was released. The next album, "Spiral Dreams," came only in 2014. The album also includes Le Martin's song "Good Night, Dear".
