Some people will go to a warm country to bask in the sun, which is a rare guest in our strange climate. Because the week before the holidays I showed You our snow and drifts. A new year's eve we have the snow melted and it rained.

We are not surprised with this development. They can't spoil our holiday. Saint Petersburg is a very positive city. On public holidays, here comes especially a lot of people.

On the streets and squares we see a special magic atmosphere. Elegant spruce decorate the whole city. You can see them everywhere.

Earlier, we brought these spruce trees that grow in our forests, but for the past few years, we don't use real Christmas trees , but only artificial trees. It was voted by the citizens of our city. Because the environment and protection of nature for us is not just empty words. Now decorators are creating for our holiday these beautiful artificial trees.

Squares, bridges, streets and landmarks of our city - all decorated with colorful garlands. We can see various festive installation. Now our city became a city-holiday.

Привет, мои друзья! В праздники город преображается. Я приглашаю Вас на прогулку. Я хочу показать Вам ночной город.
Я уже говорила, что в России год начинается с больших и длинных каникул для всех людей. Это возможность отдохнуть с семьёй, провести время с друзьями, навестить родителей. Это длится 10 дней. Это прекрасная возможность набраться сил и положительных эмоций на долгое время вперёд. Это возможность переосмыслить свои планы.
Некоторые люди уезжают в тёплые страны, чтобы погреться на ярком солнце, которое является редким гостем в нашем странном климате. Ведь за неделю до праздников я показывала Вам наши снегопады и сугробы. А в Новогоднюю Ночь у нас таял снег и шёл дождь. Мы не удивляемся таким переменам. Они не могут омрачить наш праздник.
Санкт-Петербург это очень позитивный город. На праздничные дни сюда приезжает особенно много народа. На улицах и площадях мы видим особую сказочную атмосферу. Нарядные ели украшают весь город. Их можно видеть повсюду.
Раньше, к нам привозили настоящие лесные ели, которые растут в наших лесах, но вот уже несколько лет мы не используем живые ели , а только искусственные деревья. За это проголосовали граждане нашего города. Потому, что экология и защита природы для нас это не пустые слова. Теперь декораторы создают для нашего праздника эти красивые искусственные деревья.
Скверы, мосты, улицы и достопримечательности нашего города - все украшены разноцветными гирляндами. Мы можем видеть различные праздничные инсталляции. Сейчас наш город превратился в город-праздник.
