1969 New York mets

The 1969 Mets are my favorite team of all-time. the miracle mets as they are called. I'm 56 years old and my first recollection of the World Series was 1968, so by the time 1969 rolled around , I followed the Mets from day 1. I attended opening day in which they lost to the expansion expos. but the best game I attended that year was when Tom Seaver carried a perfect game into the 9th inning. I'll never forget My father and mother said we're going to the met game tonight we didn't have tickets at the time we figured we'd buy at the game, but when we got there it was sold out, so my mother god rest her soul went to the advanced ticket window and said do you have tickets for Hallberg and they said Goldberg and she quickly replied yes and by some miracle we got the tickets. Seaver lost the perfect game with one out in the 9th but it was the start of something big as the Mets went on to win the World Series.
