What will happen, if we drained all the water from the ocean?

What will happen,if we can find a way to drain the ocean on the earth through some portal which will be at the bottom of mariana trench?

Centuries?

Would there be any life left on the planet?

So,in today’s blog we will come to know what would happen if we drained all the world’s ocean’s.

Which makes up to 70% of the earth’s surface.

Even if we opened a portal about the size of a basketball court,it would take us hundred’s of thousands of year’s to drain the ocean’s.

What if we had a pump powerful enough to drain all the ocean’s in a minute?

What would happen then?

Sure enough,swimmer’s,sailor’s,cruise passenger’s everyone out on the ocean would feel the effect’s quickly.

Within a second,boater’s and swimmer’s in swallow water would crash onto the bottom.

They’d get away with a few broken bone’s.

Deep ocean ship’s wouldn’t be so lucky.

A titanic sized liner would hit the bottom in 30 second’s and smash into tiny pieces.The same thing would happen to just about every large ship’s on the ocean within the first minute.

What about all the sea creature’s?

You already know the answer.

It would literally be raining fish since all the whale’s,dolphin’s and other big aquastic animal’s curiosly exploring the surface would be falling to the ocean floor.As for those already near the bottom. They’d be lucky not to get sucked down the drain along with the water.

First they regulate global temperatures by absorbing energy from the sun.They push warm tropical water’s north and south, and circulate cold water’s back to equator.

This way no place on earth get’s too hot or way too cold,Global climate control.

Second ocean’s feed the water cycle,evaporating the clouds and raining back to earth.The moment the ocean’s disappeared the earth would turn into a vast desert.

Go ahead and throw away your umbrella since it’s never going to rain again.

What about the lakes and river’s ?

Can’t we get by with those?

Well,without the ocean’s the world losses 97% of it’s water.The small amount of liquid left would not beenough to sustain the water cycle.The pool’s of drinkable water would evaporate pretty fast.

In a matter of day’s,people and most animal’s would die from dehydration.

Plant’s would have a few week’s before they started decaying in the dry air.

Within a few month’s,forest’s would begin massive die-off’s.

And all this dry,dead vegetation would eventually ignite.

In the matter of year’s most of the world’s forest’s would be burned down.As these huge bonfire’s sparked all across the planet,the atmosphere would become less and less oxygenerated.

If there were still human’s at this time the unbreathable air and scorching temperature would wipe us out for good.

All in all,earth would end up just like venus.

                            Cooked.

So why not take a few week’s day off and enjoy a little seaside vacation while you can?
