RE: The Story about Henny Penny

Just had to comment, even if a bit late...

Free Range on the carton does not mean free range. It means the chickens were not put in small cages, but in rooms, where there are so many chickens that they cannot move. Moving slows down their growth, I think...

The best , if you have the space, is to have your own chickens, or else, to hve a neighbour who is willing to sell you some.

As for the eggs themselves - what makes the eggs healthier is the food the hens eat. It used to be that fishmeal was the no-no as it gave the chicken and the eggs a fishy taste/smell and grains were good. Now we know that chickens did not evolve for eating corn and grains, they need to scratch around in the soil and get themselves a worm or two when they can and and other plants/seeds; if that happens, a bit of corn or grains would be okay...if they are not GMO, with pesticides injected into their DNA.

If anyone is selling tickets to an alternate Earth where none of this sh*t happens, I want to go, how much does it cost?
