Zuni Pump Drill, ancient bushcraft.
On a recent trip to the Smoki museum in Prescott, Arizona, I came across this brilliant device in this small wonderful museum. If your Makita dies and you need a drill, here is how the southwestern Native Americans did it.! Just twirl the leather straps around the drill then push down on the flat piece of wood.
