Murder Winds
-"So, you got a bag to grab if you gotta get out of town?"
*"Nah, if North Korea nukes us I can't do anything about it."
-"Ummmm.....I meant if you have an earthquake or wildfire or something...you live in California after all. You should have some kind of plan and preps."
*"Oh. I hadn't thought of that..."
This was a conversation I had with my California cousin just last week. Many in California are now in the horrible situation of having to leave everything behind to burn just to stay alive. Many people had to grab what they could and go, others didn't even get the chance to do that because they were out running errands when they were told they couldn't go home.
These people haven't just lost a physical home and memories but very important documents. Identification, diplomas, birth certificates, social security cards, copies of various insurances, any paperwork related to the payment or paying off of bills.
Now, it is absolutely imperative that people put their lives above possessions but in the coming months to years ahead those that left that paperwork behind are going to have one hell of a time getting their lives back on track.
Even if your family members aren't interested in prepping for a large emergency following the basics that the Red Cross suggests can save them a real headache on top of heartache.
If you're in California please don't wait until it is too late, gather your things and have them ready to go.
