Why Youngsters are the unhappiest people on Earth ?

in #presenttime8 years ago

Today, we live in a global dynamic world where nothing is permanent. There are many parameters that changes routine of day to day life which forces an individual to settle. Every person on Earth is looking to secure himself & stay happy. Resultantly, he/she comes across severe challenges which are either comprised or left. The age of 20-35 has become an age of being happy, being secured & to be at the top of the World. The adrenaline rush in human’s mind drivers everyone either to be next Mark Zuckerberg or Larry Page. Watching movie ‘SOCIAL NETWORK’ motivates everyone but very few are destined to be successful. The advancement in Technology has brought everyone closer but distracted everyone from themselves.
One of the biggest reason distracting youth is the expectation from life. We have many career options but we are dragged by money offered rather than what we want. This puts him in wrong or undesired path & the journey becomes troublesome. After certain age, there are no options to look back and one drags the present throughout the life. It is always difficult to move ahead with things that one don’t like. At such a stage, one should plan their career based on their needs and look ahead. Another reason is improper financial planning. Financial planning goes along with expectation out of life. The expectations set the need & need sets budget or money. Youth generally avoids marriage at an early age. The way to come out is to sit with parents for right guidance. The third reason is comparing yourself with others. Mark Twain beautifully quoted that comparison is a thief of joy. One lowers down his moral values & preaching by comparing with others Different people have their own strengths/weakness. . One should have good judgement of their strength & weakness. This helps them in carving their life with ease rather than following other’s steps. Robert Frost right said to follow the path less travelled which guarantees success at the cost of unimaginable challenges.
At the end of article, the author believes that a youth has fallen in a trap of roadblocks. It is very important to go ahead with correct guidance and self-belief to be successful in life rather than hitting dead ends.
