Press Foundation To Accept Cryptos

A nonprofit organization named "Freedom of the Press" have started accepting cryptocurrencies for all donations that will be sent to the platform. This announcement was released by the nonprofit organization on the 18th of June 2018. This organization that was established in 2012 was done to support free media speech as well as various campaigns through whistleblower projects. This organization also seeks to raise awareness to the various threats of media publications. This organization through its official Twitter account made this announcement, stating that they have launched a donation page for those seeking to donate cryptocurrencies, this tweet further revealed that the organization is now accepting Bitcoin and four major altcoins like Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Zcash and Litecoin.

The tweet further reads that the support they will receive from various crypto enthusiasts and investors from various countries would help to protect reporters and journalist from any form of attacks or intimidation that might come their way. Also, the tweet further reads that it would also help protect whistleblowers who only want a better world. Also, the donations according to the organization's donation page will help to further develop projects like the SecureDrop as well as the Freedom Tracker and a long list of threatened media and news outlets all over. The donation page lists the various wallet addresses that each of these cryptos would be sent to. The page also assured crypto enthusiasts that in the future more cryptocurrencies will be included.

Since this announcement was made by the nonprofit organization, it has received a warm reception from various crypto enthusiasts and investors alike.
