Caribbean. Girlfriends. Cruise.
Now I know how it feels like to spend a week on a boat. If a boat is packed with all kinds of luxurious amenities, delicious food and good wine, and you have a buttler to your service 24/7 it is not that bad.
Me and Deddeh stepped on the deck of the cruise first time in our lives, both without any expectations or the idea of what was going to happen.
First couple days we spent in bed. We were a bit drosy from constant shaking. Looking on a bright side, we had a chance to catch up on sleeping.
Little by little we got used to this constant swinging and started exploring the boat. It never ends! The further we went, the more we found. I think, we tried 5 or 6 different restaurants, but there are many more! Movie nights under the starry sky, work outs, all kinds of cultural and social activities, pranking staff (lol, it was our favorite activity), exploring islands. Gradually we started having fun.
On a fifth day of wondering among islands of the Carebbian I finally decided to put my thoughts on paper or should I say digitalize them…
Me and my laptop are sitting on an open deck next to the coral-blue pool on one side and an exotic coast of Cozumel on the other side. Now I know how booji looks like.
The whole experience of staying on a boat for a long time is contradictory. Still it has more advantages. I say it even today, when our trip to Tulum was cancelled due to the weather conditions. This is our last stop before we go back to Florida. I’ve been looking forward to seeing the pyramids and learning more about one of the oldest and most enigmatic civilizations of the world.
So me and Deddeh are coming up with a hundred ways to spend the day on the boat. Slow breakfast with the view, a movie, a swim in the pool, spa, tea in the room with soulful girls’ talk, workout, hmmm what else? Oh yes, we are about to shoot a vlog.
Since out departure from Fort Lauterdale less than 5 days ago, we already visited three countries - Cayman Islands, Honduras and Mexico. This is a beautiful part of the cruise.
For me the best part is that throughout all the traveling I don’t have to pack/unpack my suitcase and I have one comfortable bed. Oh and the food on the cruise is exquisite.
In five days I managed to kiss stingray, a turtle and a dolphin. The last kiss was the most memorable. Dolphins are extremely intelligent and loving. I also flew over the jungle of Honduras on a zip line. It was fun and not scary at all.
We dance in a night club, swim in a pool under the tropical rain, meet new people, relax - overall having good time.
If it wasn’t for this nasty tropical storm, we would have seen more. But I gladly enjoy what I already have.
If you are in a mood for fast tourism (like fast food: come - see - leave), then hop on the next Princess Caribbean Cruise. Five-star everything is guaranteed.
