Google product alternatives

This is going to be a popular subject once the Facebook issue passes over.
Google maps is the big one along with waze which Google also own.
The alternatives are:

This one needs a lot of work to be usable long term. It needs a bigger community and a cash injection to get big enough.

Dropbox
Bear in mind the American companies will soon have to search through your files because of a little law that was added to a budget.
Next cloud being self hosted or hosted on a droplet is completely private to you but costs some money.
