  1. Do your best always.

  2. Be responsible.

  3. Set a schedule.

  4. Start doing the easiest things first. In that way, you can jump start to something productive.

  5. Whenever you feel lazy, substitute something for a thing that you can do. For instance, if you don’t feel like studying, iron your clothes. In that way, you do something productive. Then after that, you’ll get the momentum to do what you need to.

  6. Do not think about doing a thing to a tee. You can begin with something in a way that is mediocre. When you get something going, it’ll eventually lead to something sublime.

  7. If you feel burnt out and stuck in the humdrum of school or work, set one day in a week break. For example, if you’re a student, on Sundays, take a break and have fun. But make sure that for the rest of the week, you’ll give your 100%.

  8. Arrange your things and eliminate the clutter in your house. Consequently, you’ll have a clear mind and you won’t feel lazy.

  9. Start your day or week thinking about your goal.

  10. Don’t get stuck in your bed doing nothing. After waking up, get up from your bed and start doing what needs to be done. Shower, brush your teeth, eat your breakfast, etc.

  11. Reward yourself. It does not mean you have to buy the most expensive things for yourself. For instance, after studying for a quiz, treat yourself with your favorite flavour of ice cream.

  12. You may sometimes feel stuck and think what you are doing isn’t going anywhere. That’s not true. Remember that everything that you do and sacrifice leads you to your goals.

  13. Check the great results of what you have done. That validates your work and efforts.

  14. Set a time limit. For instance, tell yourself that you can finish an essay for 5 minutes. Whether the time limit is realistic or not, this will push you to do things fast.

  15. Keep your eyes on the prize.

  16. Do things in chunks. For example, when I feel lazy, instead of washing all of the utensils and chinaware all at once, I don’t do it in one go. I start with cleaning the glasses first, soap it, then rinse it. After, I wash the plates, apply the soap and water it down, etc.
