Muscles occurs in pairs and they work antagonistically, (i.e they together in opposite ways) t bend the fore arm when an impulse is received from a central nervous system, the biceps or felexors contracts while the triceps or extensor relax. The contraction of the biceps pulls on the radius(a bone in the fore arm that lies on the ulna), simultaneously making the triceps to relax thereby bending the fore arm.
To straighten the fore arm, the triceps muscles contracts and pulls on the ulna (a long bone in the fore arm which is longer than the radius) simultaneously, the biceps relax, this brings about straightening of the fore arm
