Promo-Steem: Exemplar Examples & Easy Ways To Add Value To Steem(it)

in #promo-steem7 years ago (edited)

There has been a great deal of promotion going on for steemit and the steem blockchain, as a whole. I figured it was important that I do my part in shilling steem(it) in order to help raise awareness and educate others about what is truly going on with this revolutionary technology that steem is being built upon.

Many people have no idea what cryptocurrencies are and have absolutely zero knowledge as to what the blockchain technology is currently doing to revolutionize the world economy. More people are becoming aware of steemit by the day, but it is our duty, as the ones who are already here, to spread the word as much as possible. People need to know how the steem blockchain is revolutionizing social media as a monetized platform that rewards the creators, as well as its curators.

Steemit is ultimately helping to put food on the table and a roof over people’s heads all around the globe. Anyone can start here because it requires no initial investment, which makes steemit an attractive site to those who need an answer. It is by far and away one of the best (and most fun) ways to make a passive stream of income. This platform can literally help to curve something that is so prevalent in many regions of the world today—poverty.

An example of a steemian who has been promoting steem unlike any other is @battebilly. He has been promoting steem in Uganda and it seems as though it is making a drastic impact on the general knowledge and awareness about steemit to fellow community members. Whether it be door-to-door steemit promotion or spreading the word via local meet-ups, @battebilly in on a mission and he has inspired me to do the same.

Recently, I have been spreading the word about steemit and the steem blockchain because it will only benefit the platform as a whole, and the users who are readily active on the site on a day-to-day basis.

The more shilling that we do, the more success we will start to see. Steem, as we have seen, will begin to move even higher up the Alexa chart rankings, the price of steem will soar & the market cap will reach all time new highs when everything begins to bust out of this hurry up and wait phase (currently about 27th in marketcap).

There are a number of ways to promote the steem blockchain as an active user:

Simply commenting on posts in a way that adds value for the author, the post itself, the readers, as well as the curators is a very simple and effective way to add value to the steem(it) platform.

Creating quality content on steemit is a must in order to gain a following and obtain success over time. Quality content can take many forms, but one such being to create posts which helps new users learn the ropes.

At first, things can be a bit overwhelming, but it can be quite reassuring for new users to come across a solution to a problem that they have recently experienced. @spiritualmax is a perfect example of this, as much of his content is geared towards helping new users that need some helpful tips on how to be successful on the platform.

Proposing new ideas or innovative solutions to specific issues which you or another fellow steemian has come across . Creating a post dedicated to implementing a strategy on how content could be displayed differently in order to maximum its viewing potential could be a viable option for something like this.

Anything that you can think of which could potentially provide some sort of value for the community to grow would be of high value to share with the steemit world.

Communities— joining a community or even starting a new one is a great way to network, gain followers and support one another on this journey together. @howweroll is a great example of this because he created his own longboarding community and got the ground rolling with people of like-minded interests.

Spreading the word about steemit, as previously mentioned, is an obvious way to get people that don't know about steemit interested in joining. Once they see just how amazing this platform/community is they will want to get their friends and family involved as well. This, if done well enough, will act as a snowball effect to add more and more growth as we continue on this journey.

What have I tried to shill steem?

I have done everything I previously mentioned in this post and most recently I have been using the promo-steem via word of mouth method to friends, family and even people I don't necessarily know on a personal level.

For example, I went in to get my haircut the other day and I was preaching to the stylists in my row about steemit and what this platform is doing to revolutionize the realm of social media and beyond. They were dumbfounded when they heard what steemit was and said they were going to go home first thing and open an account and get started right away.

I have also been preaching about steemit on some of my other social media accounts, too. I have spread the word to over 1,200 FB followers, almost 1,000 instagram followers and about 300 people on snapchat. While this isn't hundreds and thousands of people, it is still something and small change is some change and some change is good change if you ask me.

I also recently ordered a steemit shirt, so that way I can wear it around and get people that don't know to ask about it. The more eyes that see the word steemit, the better it will be for all us who are here and those that will come after us.

Join in helping to promote steem(it) and spreading the word to as many people as possible, let's all help each other!

P.S. If you or anyone you know has been a victim of @grumpycat please know that he has been harming people throughout Sōsharumedia (ソーシャルメディア). Stealing the service that I (and other bots) have provided them and hiding behind a facade of stopping bid bot abuse which he clearly has no interest in.
Sneaky Ninja is a very responsible bot, working directly with steemcleaners, actively pursuing spam and abuse on our platform. If you would like to see what steps Sneaky Ninja has taken to fight bid bot abuse see this post and this post. Also know that I am working daily on other solutions.
If you would like to know my personal take on bid bot abuse and why I do not agree with the 3.5 day rule, see this post
