Hi @starkerz what if steemit paid authors per views on their post? We can then create a self promoting high quality posts here on steemit and well all be successful.

They could, however with this model, it would be less attractive to investors as there would be no incentive for them to put their money on the platform. so i think the token price of this model would be much lower
