Mega Steemit Campaign at the University for Development Studies – Day 2
The #Tamale unit of the #teamghana has decided to embark on a campaign that seeks to get the masses, particularly the student body of the University for Development Studies, on board on Steemit. Our primary objective is to promote steemit every corner we find ourselves and build a community of passionate and sociable steemians regardless of different background, zeal and interest.
This is the second day of the campaign and it was unfortunate I couldn’t make it on the first day of our promotion because a very good friend and a brother was seriously sick and I had to send him to the hospital. Thankfully, he is getting better so I had the chance to join my crew on day 2 of our promotional activity so I would say this is my first day.
I(@sircharles) together with @tj4real, @gadol, @ehmkannde, @w4c and @christianosei visited students at their hostel moving from room to room to tell them of the good news about steemit. Some thought we were going round telling them to join because there is some benefits we will get through affiliate program.
However, when we tell them that there is nothing of that sort but we are propagating the good message because of the benefits and empowerments steemit has to offer, they become more receptive. They begin to wonder why we will use our precious time going round telling people to join while we could use our time to do other things.
What we did was that we started by briefing them what steemit is all about and then ask if they will be interested in signing up. We told and shown them how people are contributing to the platform by adding value and earning rewards in return for their quota. We then used the welcome page to explain and tell them more about steemit. We explained to them how one sign up for free without paying any fee. We took them through post creation, upvotes, how and what tags to use for what articles, reputation among others.
We took their email address and used steeminvite to speed up registration for them. Some could not be registered because the site wasn’t responding and thus we promised to send them the invite as soon as possible for them to complete the sign up process.
It was such a productive day as we were able to get 18 people at the end of our rounds and we shall continue to get as many people as possible to join this steem spaceship as we cruise to the outside world. Stay tuned for more updates.

Awesome! Great! Keep doing that! I tell my friends in Cameroon as well. But they are somehow slow in doing such things.
And they speak mostly french, which is not yet a dominant language on Steemit. But hopefully, they'll work it out!
Upped and Resteemed and posted on Facebook!

Steem On!
Thank you. I think they should try their best to get most of them on board because I believe with time many people from the francophone countries will troop in and the language wouldn't be a problem. I will check out your blog. Thank you once again for stopping by friend.
The language isn't a problem at all, as long as you have a internet connection, there are translators! Good to know, that in Ghana things are steeming on!
Cheers!
nice one and please don't forget to follow upvote and resteem my post, thanks
