Lhoksukon, Aceh - Health Office of Aceh Utara District, Aceh Province, recorded the number of mental disorders in the area reached 2,452 people and the biggest contributor was due to narcotics.
Head of North Aceh Health Office Dr. Machrozal said the biggest contributor to mental disorders in this area is narcotics cases of various types, then economic factors.
"The data we have counted from 2007 to 2017, people with mental disorders amounted to 2,452 people," he said in Lhoksukon, Thursday (11/1).
In addition to drugs, economic factors, problems of life until no employment also be among the contributors to mental disorders, he added.
It is said, people with mental disorders there are categories of weight and mild category. On average the victims are in the process of recovery, both hospitalized and in their homes for those who are recovering.
He appealed to the family to really care for them properly and properly, including the government itself, because the victims need support for the recovery process.
Recently or on Monday (8/1), the North Aceh Health Office has brought Fauzi Murtala (27), a mentally ill youth to the Intensive Care Unit of Psychiatry (UPIP) at Cut Mutia General Hospital (RSUCM) in Lhokseumawe.
The young man from Tanjong Geulumpang, Baktiya Sub-district was released from stock to be taken to the hospital. He was put in the family, because he often hit people around him, including his own family.
Fauzi is one of the residents who have been taken to psychiatric hospitals for recovery.
In different locations, Tanah Jambo Aye Sub-district Police and Lhok Beringen Health Center, Tanah Jambo Aye Sub-district also found one of the residents suffering from mental disorders in Matang Mane village, which was taken.
They have come to the location on Tuesday (9/1), to visit and coordinate with his family. The victim is planned to be taken to the hospital in the near future.
