New Lamps for treating Psoriais and Eczema
UVB rays are known to treat psoriasis and eczema. The most common lamps are fluorescent UVB narrowband lamps that emit light at 312 nanometers. While this wavelength is not the optimal one for the skin, it is the closest achievable with fluorescent technology. Recently, LED lamps have entered the market, such as those from UVBLED.COM, which emit the optimal wavelength. These LED lamps require a very low dose, about 1/100th of that needed with fluorescent tubes. There is no need to gradually increase the dose, and they stop itching immediately.
