Why are we often getting frustrated on the negative feedback , even if the positive is much more

When we receive compliments, they quite often coincide with the way we think about ourselves.

In this line of thinking, a compliment to us is something normal that others just notice. There is no conflict here, no drama.

However, when we receive criticism, very often it is an assessment, very far from the way we perceive ourselves.

In practice, this evaluation conflicts with our inner sense of ourselves and our own evaluation of our actions.

This automatically captures our attention, because it gives rise to certain emotions, depending on what kind of character we have: fear, worry about failure, anger, resistance, etc.

It is for this reason that our attention is focused more often on criticism and negative opinions than on the praise and praise we receive.

Criticism gives rise to emotions , which in certain individuals can even be destructive and could lead to taking unnecessary actions.
