Talent is Bullshit. The number one excuse in the book is lack of talent - " I don't have the talent for it...".

Having an ability to do something pretty well from the first time is quite nice but it will never be the determining factor in success.

So many people have talents that they don't use, and sometimes its even worse when people bitch that someone with no talent is much more successful then they are.

Hard work and consistency is the key for success.

The big problem is that we don't know how to work hard and how to stay determined when facing hard times.

Maybe it is surprising, but we can develop the capacity to work hard with Discipline.

The lack of discipline in our lives prevents us from putting ourselves in a 100% into the things we gave to do in order to succeed.

I always lacked discipline, as a kid I managed to get by on sheer talent and aptitude for learning.
But I always failed where discipline was required.
In college, when I started failing tests I had no clue what to do.

All my life up to 2 years ago (I 'm 32) , I always got derailed when things got hard. When I decided to figure out the reason it didn't take long to understand that I never had the discipline to follow through and I would just quit.

The only field in my life that I had discipline in was fitness. I always followed my workout plans to the letter, and I had some nice successes in fitness.

I decided to use the same approach I had to fitness in order to develop discipline in other areas of my life. I believed in small and consistent gains.

Slowly but surely, I started adding different practices I didn't like through out the day, for example -I started doing cold showers every day.

And every time I successfully made something stick, I added another practice that builds discipline.

This has changed my life and I am much more resilient to hard work and incredibley persistent in everything I do now.

With high discipline you can achieve anything you set tour mind to.

Because discipline is the secret to hard work and consistency.

Thank you for your time.

With love
Eugene
