Detecting LIARS From the deceiver's desk

in #psychology8 years ago

Covering the truth, making up the stories, breaking the law of God, fooling people and eventually. themselves. These are just some real examples of a liar in action.

Lies are of different kinds, peace-keeping lies, protective lies, trust-keeping lies and white lies. These are lies of distinct meaning, lies that could be made in different time frames and lies that could be done in distinctly, it all falls in the same purpose - not telling the truth.

Moreover, lies are everywhere and everywhere to be recognized. Whether you turn to the left or to the right, your ears would hear a thousand words from those sinners. However, recognizing such is a bit too hard.

Who knows, perhaps the person next to you has been guilty of such malicious acts and you would be the next victim. That would be a pity in away that you have been fooled.

Remember, the more you are unaware of such an act, the more you making yourself look stupid.

Researching, scrutinizing and observing keenly, are few ways that might possibly help you detect liars and at the same time, stop yourself from being a victim of stupidity.

Eye to eye contact this what people usually do while having a conversation with somebody. And how would it help you detect liars? That's simply by looking at him or her straight in the eye. If you would notice that he or she kept on rolling his or her eyes from left to right or instead of looking at you, he /she rather looks up to the ceiling and down to the floor then that  there is precisely something he/she has been hiding. They usually make a quick glance, actually.

Another way is when it is vividly obvious that the liar began to release sweat have unnecessary impatient movements of the hand, look quite pale and have a voice with a cracking tone. That precisely means one thing he or she is nervous. Liars tend to get nervous when they do such an immortal act and find themselves guilty of their enormous mistakes. If they are used to lying they would just be so calm.

Paying attention to the inconsistence regarding the tall tale he/she is telling might help you suspect him/her doing the act. Always stay alert with the inconsistence of different stories, different days and different time frames. A thing you should consider the most is a liar's mistake in reminiscing details and muddling up things.

Sometimes, trusting yous instinct turns out to be a huge help. If you could strongly sense the person has been keeping something, try to formulate questions as many as you could with regards to the situation. Ask questions to the person but never be harsh with him/her. If she/he steadfastly resisted answering any question, then no doubt, there really is something behind those bars.

Stupidity is a shame and you do not want to be stupid. So, if you felt the liar was making you look stupid, consider asking him/her directly whether or not she/he had been keeping something from you. Liars usually feel so bad getting caught red-handed with their nasty lies and find it a relief to be finally honest.

Most liars usually become generous that it would surprise you a lot when you receive a box covered with a Christmas wrapper and a fancy ribbon on the top of it and contains your favorite Levis jeans that you have craving for since last year. Or a bouquet of freshly wrapped red roses and even had those long green thorns cut off. Wonder why? Probably because they had messed around and these gifts are meant for an apology.

If the person finally admitted his or her lies, don't try hurting the person. Instead, try to understand or better yet, try to put yourself in his/her shoes. Listen to whatever alibis he had and try to consider it for once. Ponder on these questions: Was he/she trying not to hurt you? Was he/she afraid you would be angry, upset or disappointed? If yes, you will find it in your heart, the forgiveness that person deserves.
