What's up guys! Today I am going to tell you about a place that you have seen in films. It is the Mosquito Bay. It is the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world!

Many aquatic habitats across the planet are extremely bioluminescent, from Japan to Mexico. On the Caribbean island of Vieques, on the coast of Puerto Rico, one of the most popular, Mosquito Bay is situated. Pyrodinium bahamense, a dinoflagelle, glows in the greenish-blue when irritated, resides in this tiny body of water.

Who is it for? When mangrove leaves fall in and die in water, they provide Pyrodinium bahamense with the perfect, nutrient rich environment for developing.
