RE: The Daily Qurator #169 | Upvoting at $0.09 - $1.25

Well I find hiding the truth of why someone was rejected wrong -
that says to me that you yourselves have something to hide. I was actually rejected because I didn't quote the source of the images I used. This was told to me on Discord by one of your founders @brumest. The thing is, I found in just 2 minutes a post that had uncredited photos on it, when I was expressly told that I was rejected for such a violation of your conditions.

That guys is hypocritical of you, especially when you are handing out cash to members. Yes, lets have this discussion in public. On the Blockchain everything is supposed to be public and above board, so why are you hiding the truth of why some people are not allowed a revenue stream...?

This has put me off joining @qurator as you are not being open yourselves and holding yourselves to your own impossibly high standards...

Sort:

It is a community with rules to follow if you want to be a part of it. Like a professional body requires some exams.

If you find community members not citing images please add it to your comment so they can investigated and reprimanded if needed.

I mentioned it to @brumest and he/she actually thanked me for the information. The fact is mind you is that I felt rather upset that I was being turned away for a reason that others memebrs are getting away with, and earning money from...

The fact is that it shouldn't be happening in the first place and that it was missed. If these members re-applied with no image source they would have been turned away as well

I agree with you. It does annoy me though that the operators of @qurator hide the reason why they accept or reject applicants, and I was irritated that they forgot that I sent them the application fee in the first place. They said they were taking their time, but others who applied at the same time as I did got an answer within 24 hours.

In regard to abuse of their rules, I bet if I looked that I could find tons of posts who are already abusing the system. I found one immediately yesterday, and the problem is only gonna get worse as more members are accepted.

I am looking to look elsewhere on Steemit for people to appreciate my work, writing and insight. I am well respected in my field, and there are plenty of other fish in the sea....
