Hello again my dear community!
Let's go...
Netflix announced that the Zombie Apocalypse will visit the streaming platform when the new live-action "RESIDENT EVIL" series premieres this summer, specifically on July 14.
Lance Reddick will headline the series as Alex Wesker alongside fellow cast members Ella Balinska, Adeline Rudolph, Tamara Smart, Paola Nunez and Siena Agudong who, in a new, spiraling narrative that takes place in '2036', which is more than 14 years after the T-Virus causes the fall of civilization.
While this premise may sound eerily familiar to our ears in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic, that virus released in the fictional world of Resident Evil (or Biohazard in Japanese) is the work of a sinister pharmaceutical company known as the Umbrella Corporation. Instead of sickening people with respiratory ailments, it turns them into ferocious zombies and all manner of abominable creatures.
I emphasize that this story is supposedly going to focus on Jade Wesker, a new character in the Wesker family, who will have to navigate the post-apocalyptic world and learn the truth about her family and their connection to the Umbrella Corporation.
Below I show you the official artwork provided by Netflix as the first teaser for the upcoming series.
This is the official synopsis of Resident Evil:
Year 2036 - 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker struggles to survive in a world overrun by bloodthirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father's chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation, but most of all by what happened to her sister, Billie.
