"Change My Mind"

American-Canadian comedian, Steven Crowder, host of the podcast “Louder with Crowder” has conducted an ongoing series of unedited street conversations with regular citizens concerning controversial topics of our time. This “change my mind” series, wherein any person is invited to relay their opposing viewpoints toward the ultimate goal of changing the host’s mind, is a breath of fresh air in a country that is increasingly hostile toward freedom of thought. I have linked one of these street videos below:

For those who are unaware, the existence of free speech first requires the freedom to openly consider the validity of topics. If we automatically label people as “hate” criminals for asking outlandish questions like, “does this actually work?” or “is this a true claim?” we have become a truly insane culture that deserves its own impending destruction. But I digress…

I wanted to take Mr. Crowder’s lead in posing a question here, because it’s a controversial observation that I have and I’m genuinely curious as to whether or not that observation is correct. So here we go:

“White privilege” is a misnomer for “Majority privilege”.

Change my mind.

In other words:

The “unfair” advantage exists in all countries that have a majority demographic (Japanese people experience “Japanese privilege” when they live in Japan, for example).

Not arguing that there’s an advantage of being part of the majority population. I am, however, arguing that the “privilege” comes from identification with the most-represented population vs. race alone (obviously, right? We all want different things because we have diverse, different cultures, and one of those cultures is always the majority, even if this majority changes).

So if a white baby is born in South Africa, where whites are brutally slaughtered purely for being white, white privilege doesn’t exist there. It is inextricably linked to whether or not you have your own leaders looking out for your own people. Ergo: it would seem more productive for non-whites to seek the right for segregation and self-rulership rather than the right to exterminate white people.

So please use the comment section to argue how “White privilege” is DIFFERENT FROM majority demographic privilege (again, fully aware that majority culture gets majority representation. Looking for understanding on why nobody’s hell-bent on making countries like Japan less “racist” in their “privileged” ability to protect their culture, heritage, and best interests of their native citizens.)
