A Week in Pictures | Early September in DFW

Tropical Storm Gordon Enters Dallas/Ft.Worth

The following pictures were taken last week in Dallas when Tropical Storm Gordon dumped many inches of much-needed rain on North Texas. This summer was dry and hot, as usual for this area. However, last week was especially wet, which was a little bit of a novelty after so many days of sunshine.

A rain pictures post has to have a rainbow, right?

Well, actually, there were two rainbows that day. (Yay!) This one came as a gift from the sunrise, and the rainbow in the first pic appeared during late afternoon.

With a sunrise like this to start the day, how can it start with anything other than a smile?

You know these guys love wet and rainy.

These car trouble guys on the left don't look like they are loving the wet and rainy as much as the mushrooms...

What are you looking forward to doing this week? How often does it rain where you live?

Have a great day^-^

Thank you for having a look at the photos. Fun is just as important as work! It helps keep us going. Great days are hiding everywhere, we have to find them :)

Hey! Another North Texan! The rains been great! Except that my dogs and I haven't been able to hike the trails out her in Bridgeport do to ' unsafe ' conditions. Nice shots btw.

You know one of us has to say it: howdy!
It's always a pleasure to meet a fellow Texan on Steemit. The rain is fantastic, especially with the cooler air it's brought. Once it dries out, you'll be back to the trails and the days will be just right for it. Take care, neighbor :^)
