Rainbow Six Siege - How the Game Changes 2018: New Pick & Ban System
A big change for the year 2018 is the Pick & Ban system, which will be launched in the Pro League with the start of the second season in June. Each team can lock one attacker and one defender before the start of the round. The four banned operators are then no longer playable for both sides.
After the ban phase, the entire lineup is revealed so everyone knows the team composition of the opponent. The trick: Afterwards, each team can make a single change and an operator - and this change happens in secret. The other side does not know if and which operator has been swapped until she can enlighten him with a drone in the match.
From the Pick & Ban system, the creators promise new creative moves in Rainbow Six Siege and want to deliberately lure the players out of their comfort zone. "We're putting the Meta in the hands of the players," commented Game Director Leroy Athanassoff.
