What is Ramadan & The Night of Power?

The night of power according to the Religion of Islam is in the Holy Month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic Lunar Calendar. It is the month when over 1.5 Billion Musilims Fast from Sunrise to Sunset, for many reasons, to attain closeness to The Almighty God, feel the pangs of hunger to appreciate the bounties of God and feel the suffering of Humanity at large.

Muslims around the world engage in extra prayers and charity as actions in this month are multiplied, as taught by the Holy Prophet Peace Be Upon Him.

This is the night in commemoration of the night when the Holy Quran was Revealed upon the Bleoved Prophet Peace be Upon him. It is said that the night of Power resides in the last 10 IMG_8698.JPGnights of Ramadan, and it should be seeked within the odd nights i.e.; 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th & 29th Nights. The Holy Quran states that this night is better than a 1000 months. Meaning, any good action or worship done on this night is multiplied by 1000 months. It is also said that in this night the decree of destiny is ordianed for the year, therefore Muslims around the world engage in deep prayer and good action during this time, seeking the pleasure of The Almighty God.
