How to reclaim unfair bank charges in India ?
Recently IDBI Bank ,Siliguri deducted an unfair bank charges from my account with respect to Youtube earnings. When I contacted the bank in this regard, they just told me that the charges has been revised so the deduction. Previously they use to charge me 40-100 Rupees as per my payment received but the sudden rise in charges was just unacceptable ( to be precise IDBI charges me 1265 Rupees for a payment of Rs. 8600 ). So I Wasn’t satisfied with the charges and wrote a simple letter to the RBI in this regard. Here is a screenshot of my letter and the reply I got.
It took about a week or two and eventually the charges was reimbursed to my account. I got back Rs.1062 which was a win situation for me, So if you ever face similar problems in near future, just write a letter to the RBI and they are very prompt in handling the situation and reply back in a day or two. Bro not only IDBI, even banks like ICICI , Axis bank are also charging for Youtube Earnings. They reimburse the deducted amount but it takes longer time. While opening a bank account in their banks they treat us like their son in law but later the situation would be very bad and non-responsive.
Exactly why Bitcoin is here to stay, hope some day they topple this banking system and we get freedom from their monopoly.
