Red Velvet Oreo Protein Truffles
Red Velvet Oreo's are back everyone!!
Before I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, these were one of my favorites! Since the 4th is almost here, I whipped up a batch of my Red Velvet Oreo Protein Truffles tonight for Tuesday's festivities - yum yum yum! (If only I could eat them...)
These keep really well in the fridge and also can be frozen. Put your finished batch in a Ziploc container and you'll be ready to go come Tuesday.
**Note, I cannot eat these since they are not GF, but anyone with a gluten intolerance can substitute Oreos for Glutino "Oreos." **You can also omit the protein powder if desired.
Here's what you'll need:
Ingredients
1 pack reduced fat cream cheese
36 Red Velvet Oreos
2 scoops vanilla protein powder
1 bag white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons coconut oil or butter
Directions
- Crush Oreos and place in a large bowl. Add softened cream cheese and protein powder. Mix until fully combined.
- Roll mixture into balls and place on a lined cookie sheet. Freeze for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat white chocolate and coconut oil or butter over a double boil on medium-high heat. Make sure to watch the temperature of the white chocolate or clumping will occur. Stir consistently.
- Take Oreo truffles from freezer and dip each one into chocolate minute, making sure to give an even coat. Drizzle extra chocolate on top if needed.
- Freeze for another 5-10 minutes to solidify and add sprinkles if desired. Enjoy!
These are always a hit with flavor and even better, you'll have red & white with you for the 4th of July! 💙❤️
What will you be making? Any favorite sweet treats?
Have a great 4th of July!
Kayla
Looks delicious!
Keep bringing these to the party! A few more pics would be good.
STEEM ON!!
Thank you for the advice! Your blogs are absolutely beautiful. I am following you from now on :).
Umm K. where are my oreo balls?!!! You didn't make any for my bday! Love you guys. Come see the house soon!
Nommm! What kind of protein powder do you usually bake with?
I usually bake with Cellucor protein powder, its just the right consistency!
Oh snap! So do I! It blends so easily. And I heard it's got fewer ingredients than most powders.
