Tequila Tequila (perfect summer drink)
Three months ago I was introduced to an alcoholic beverage that has changed the way I view life. That may sound extreme but this particular drink is the brain child of a very clever person, I'm not sure who invented this drink, but thank you. I LOVE tequila, many times I have socialised and drank shots, but never once thought about mixing this way. Previously I drank vodka and lemonade, I found the lemonade too sweet, making me feel quite bloated. This drink however is perfect for the warm summer days, such a refreshing drink that doesn't feel too heavy.
So once again inventor of my new favourite drink, thank you for the fun tequila times. Tequila Tequilaaaaaaaaaaa
A measure of tequila.
Tonic water (stick to a 2:1 ratio of tonic water to tequila)
FRESH lime (please do not use lime cordial- cut into slices as a whole lime may be too powerful, I use two slices of lime).
Ice
Mix together, squeeze the lime into the drink and then place into glass. Enjoy :)

I love Tanqueray tonics, Why have I never thought of Tequila tonic... I like it!
Wait, a Tequila and Tonic? HOLY CRAP!
Seriously, I never imagined putting those two together - and I can't do tequila in a margarita, so maybe the tonic is just the...uh...tonic.
Thanks for sharing!
Neither did I, but it works. No problem :)
As someone from Jalisco, Mexico (where Tequila was born) i can feel sympathy with you. If you ever visits Mexico you need to take the "Tequila Express" is a train who starts in Guadalajara and finish in Tequila (is a round trip), while you travel you can drink like an spartan and once you arrived to Tequila they take you to see "Las haciendas" which are the distillers where you can watch how the tequila is made from the agave to the final product (and can try it too), is a must-see if you are a tequila lover.
This trip sounds amazing. Drink like a spartan! yes please. Thank you so much for the information I will be visiting in the future for sure :)
The best kind of recipe - so simple, but if it works, it works!
