Cry my beloved Africa Cry

in #refugees7 years ago

Everyday we wake up to sad news about refugees and innocent beings fleeing their homes seeking for survival. The story is the same from Syria to Somalia.

However what i do find interesting is how the same story receives different attention. The world seems to give more spotlight and attention to refugees from Syria as if they are the only ones suffering. What about my poor fellow African?Or has Africa's suffering become so normalised we dont even care to pay attention as it is destiny.

This is not to say we should ignore any group suffering but to raise awareness to treat all people suffering the same.Let us not give more attention and spotlight to one group while neglecting another especially if we are motivated by conceited selfish political agendas.

Could give some more info about where in Africa and what oppressing is be done here. I know some Africans who are tired of Africa being generalized in a negative way.

Hie I live in Zimbabwe and we have been under the rule of president Mugabe for 37 years now.Any challenge to his rule is punished with violence which is why we have alot of civil wars in the continent.i also agree that some parts of Africa are peaceful but statistically speaking most countries are being ruled by vicious dictators
