From DigiByte Awareness to GoChain adoption, from high profile events like the Seastar Blues Festival, Rootzfest/ Ganjamaica Cup and Luciano LIVE accepting crypto to now our very own $JAHM token based on our Steem Tribe @reggaesteem— @beachfrontcrypto (Beachfront Crypto Limited) has come a long way.
Our vision for Negril as the first smart-city in Jamaica is getting closer every day. And finally we can see the light, thanks to #ReggaeSteem
For about 2yrs we've assisted Negril's crypto-friendly resorts and guests
Here's a quick mash-up of some of the things we've done to spread adoption locally in Jamaica over the past couple years.
Our first project was Beachfrontcrypto.com with the intention of creating a crypto-friendly map of Jamaica powered by Coinmap.org. There, you can find local venues and businesses that may accept Bitcoin or Altcoins on the island. From there, we added *the first Jamaican Bitcoin faucet and a forum.

Both the forum and the faucet were shut down for a couple months during the late 2018 bear market. The faucet became no longer feasible and the forum was spammed-out by freeness lovers there for the faucet. Gaining real traction seemed nearly impossible until we met with members of the DigiByte Awareness Team and they made Delroy (@miyard) and I awareness team leaders in Jamaica. Titles which we still hold now.

As a former community ambassador and social marketer at GoChain, we also did a ton of work with them spreading adoption locally. MiYard was the first restaurant and bar to accept crypto in Negril and at the time, GO was the fastest to help us get our efforts going.
