THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER DO AFTER BREAKUP (Part 1). A must read.
Good day distinguished ladies and gentlemen of the Steemit community. I remain my humble self @jenniferjulius, Trust you all had a blast last weekend and I'm wishing you all Fun packed and exciting new week.
The following are reasons why some people never move on after breaking up with their spouse. I will be dividing this things in two but on, 10 in each post. The first 10 things one should never do after breakup are:
DON'T SEEK THEM OUT ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
Some may see this as being childish but its not. You can never move on if you still see updates about your Ex and also remove all possible notification involved with them. Untag all pictures once tagged with them and muting them on twitter and facebook so that you will not know who they are with bow, what they do and what goes on in their lives.DON'T EVEN REMAIN FRIENDS ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
Its not easy not revisiting your Ex's profile but it will do you more good if you stop being friends in social media and unfriendly and unfollow them from all your social media handles. It could be more terrifying to see that your Ex is out there living his/her life to the fullest while you're still stocked with your past memories together.DON'T CASUALLY ASK MUTUAL FRIENDS ABOUT THEM.
The biggest mistakes people still make till date is asking friends about their Ex. Why think about what your Ex is up to when you should be looking at the big picture and creating possibilities for yourself.DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF WITH THEIR NEW PERSON.
It shouldn't bother you who they now date. And even if you're way prettier than their new person, doing a comparison will only get you hurt more. And then you might start crying why he chose someone who's less prettier, smarter or intelligent than you. It should be clear enough to you that the both of you are no match.DON'T WALLOW.
Yes at the early stages of breakup you can barely focus or think right. You can invite two close friends of yours over to your house, cry on their shoulders, pout, let it all out but hey once you're done crying, its time to accept the fact that you two broke up and move on. Stop occupying yourself with things that will constantly remind you of your past with your Ex. Don't wallow.DON'T STOP TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF.
Do the thing that makes you happy. Go on fun trips, hangout and gave fun. You can stop doing you just because you broke up with your spouse.DON'T PRETEND EVERYTHING IS OK.
Wallowing for months will only torture you more most especially when you're alone. Always be in the midst of trusted friends whom you can share your pain with. A problem shared is half solved remember. You can't shortcut the grieving process because its real.DON'T IMMEDIATELY TRY TO BE FRIENDS.
You need space from each other to fully move on from the spilt so don't push it by trying to be friends with your Ex immediately after breakup. Once you're both in a healthier place, if you still feel the urge to reconnect, think as critically as possible about your dynamic before you jump into a platonic friendship.DON'T LET IT AFFECT WORK.
Be sure not to let your breakup affect you. Your workplace should be Ine place that will help you move in as quick as possible and If your office support system isn't enough, it may be time to seek professional help.DON'T LET IT AFFECT YOUR SOCIAL LIFE.
If you've always been a groovy and fulfilled person, your breakup should affect that part of you. Still keep being social, still go dancing, still go for picnics with friends. Breakup isn't a means to stop you from being happy and accept your social life.
This is all for part one of things we shouldn't do after breakup. I will be back with part two for more important tips.
