Who is the devil? The classic deformed and terrible figure with red skin and tail? The fallen angel? The sadistic enemy of God?

It certainly is, sadism and evil, but it is not a being in a literal sense, it is a crude representation that has spread over the centuries, a symbolic image of a thousand and one form, all terrible, all molded according to fears and imagination of its creator.

But the truth is that the devil is nothing but our evil, capable of destroying morally and psychologically; our insatiable thirst for power and dominion, our greed, greed for goods and people we don't possess; the lust manifested through crazy passion towards another being, although this does not correspond to us, even leading to violate the dignity and modesty of another being; our lowest and unhealthy desires; satisfaction to be feared; the pleasure we feel in hurting, in spilling blood, reaching the extreme of taking a life; the joy in despising others; the unhealthy ingenuity that we use to create, paradoxically, elements and weapons for mass destruction, affecting all humanity and even ourselves, only for the desire to be the greatest, before others the most powerful being.

Then, we can conclude: we are the devil
